What Is The
Summer Classic?
The Legends Summer Classic is designed to be a fun-filled experience on and off the field in one of the most premier areas in all of the US, and serves as a great way to enhance your players’ summer season. Boys and girls divisions run all weekend at the SoCal Sports Complex in Oceanside, California — ten minutes from the pier, the harbor and the sand.
Who Can Play
The Summer Classic is open to competitive club programs on both the boys and girls sides. Every player must be registered on League Apps for one team and may only play for that team for the duration of the event.
Girls Divisions
- High School — 2027–2031, full checking, 2026 NFHS rules
- Youth — 2032 / 2033, US Lacrosse rules, free movement
- 8v8 Short Field — 2034 / 2035, 4’x4’ goal, no checking

Boys Divisions
- High School — 2027–2031, 2026 NFHS rules
- Youth — 2032–2036, limited body checking
- Four-pole maximum on the field · no crease dives · no one-handed stick checks in youth

Game Format
- Two 21-minute halves · 3-minute halftime
- 3 game guarantee in pool play (boys divisions may play a 4th)
- No timeouts and no overtime in pool play
- One 60-second timeout per team in playoff regulation · sudden-victory overtime
- Win = 3 points · Tie = 1 · Loss = 0
Schedule & Requests
The tournament schedule goes live on Tourney Machine. Games start at 8:00 AM Saturday and Sunday and finish by 4:00 PM Sunday — please book travel accordingly. Schedule requests must be submitted in writing to events@legendslax.com at least 30 days before the start of the tournament. Requests are not guaranteed, but Legends will do its best to accommodate them.
Two Sides,
One Weekend
Boys and girls play the same weekend at the same complex. Pool play Saturday, brackets Sunday, championships before you head for the beach. Three games guaranteed, 22 full-size fields, and college coaches working both sidelines.

How It Goes Down
Arrival Day
Teams travel into Oceanside and settle in. No games are scheduled — the first draw is Saturday morning.
Rosters & Waivers
League Apps is the official roster. Every player must be registered and waivered on one team before the first whistle.
Hit The Sand
The fields sit ten minutes from Oceanside Pier and the harbor. Friday night is the team-dinner night.
8:00 AM · First Draw
Pool play opens across the complex. Games start at 8:00 AM — plan travel around it.
Pool Play · All Day
Boys and girls divisions run side by side. Two 21-minute halves, 3-minute halftime, no timeouts, no overtime.
Coaches On The Sideline
College coaches work both sides of the complex. The confirmed list is published and updated as coaches register.
Standings Post Live
Results and standings run live on Tourney Machine. Sunday brackets follow the close of pool play.
8:00 AM · Playoffs Begin
Seeded brackets by division. Win and advance.
Playoff Rules Apply
One 60-second timeout per team in regulation. Overtime is sudden victory — first goal wins.
Championship Games
Every division crowns a champion.
By 4:00 PM · Play Ends
All games finish by 4:00 PM Sunday. Book flights and drives accordingly.

Showcase
The Legends Pacific Showcase takes place Friday, June 18th, 2027 at SoCal Sports Complex in Oceanside, CA, and is open to boys and girls in the 2028, 2029, and 2030 graduation classes. Age Guidelines
High school eligibility is based on current grad year. Youth eligibility is based on both grad year and birth date — players must meet both to be eligible. Players may play up, but never down, and may not play for two teams. [Add the 2027 player eligibility graphics here.]
Weather & Lightning
Play is suspended immediately when lightning is detected and resumes 30 minutes after the last strike. Legends may shorten, convert or reschedule games for weather or field conditions; no refunds are issued in those cases. Teams should be ready to play as soon as fields are cleared.

Travel
SoCal Sports Complex sits at 3302 Senior Center Dr, Oceanside, CA 92056. San Diego International (SAN) is roughly 40 minutes south and John Wayne (SNA) about an hour north. Games run 8:00 AM Saturday through 4:00 PM Sunday — book departures after that window.
Tournament Rules
Boys and girls rules packets cover scoring, checking, counts, cards, tie-breakers and rostering. Pool play is two 21-minute halves with a 3-minute halftime and no timeouts; playoffs add one timeout per team and sudden-victory overtime. Full rules: legendslax.com/event-policies-rules.
