    • Injuries
      • Any injury within 2 minutes remaining and under that requires the game to be stopped, the clock stops with the injury
      • Any injury with more than 2 minutes remaining when the game is stopped, a maximum of 1 minute will come off the clock to assess the injury before the clock is stopped.

  •  4 pole maximum on the field
    • 2030 division – 54″ poles allowed
  •  Mercy Rule

  • Counts
    • 2022 – 2029 Grad Years:  Clearing Counts of 20 seconds to cross the midline and 10 seconds to advance the ball in the box.
    • The leading team must keep it in the box with under 2 minutes left in the game if the opponent is within 4 goals.
    • If a team leads by more than 4 goals, there will be no start/stop time under 2 minutes in either half. Instead, the game will continue to operate with a running clock.
    • If the score changes to less than 4 goal differential at any point during the final 2-minutes of either half, the clock goes back to stop clock.
    • No Counts – 2030 Grad Year and below.  Exception is a 5-second goalie count
  • Checking
    • Limited body checking in 2026 & 2027 Grad Year only.  Big hits & physical play (even within three yards of a loose ball) constitute unnecessary roughness (90  sec penalty)
    • One handed stick checks are not allowed in any youth divisions (2028 and below)
  • Penalties
    • Penalties are running time starting on the whistle (45 or 90 seconds)  Penalty time stops during injuries, end of quarters and while another penalty is being assessed.
    • 2030 Division – the offending player leaves the field and is substituted.  Fast Break situation occurs

RANKINGS (MS/Youth Divisions)

  • WIN – 3 points
  • Loss – 0 points
  • Tie – 1 point
  • In the event that a team needs to play a 4th pool game in order to give a second team their 3rd game:
    • The 4th game will be identified and acknowledged with a ‘*’ on Tourney Machine
    • The 4th game will not count for any potential points or Goals Against for the team playing their 4th game
    • For the team playing their 3rd game, the results will count for points and goals against
    • In the event that there is a tie breaker scenario, which includes a teams head to head being their fourth game, that has been identified with ‘*’ the head to head will not be applied.

Tie Breakers

  • If 2 teams are tied with points:
    1. Head to Head
    2. Goals Against TOTAL
    3. Goals Against Common Opponent.  If multiple common opponents, take the sum.
  • If more than 2 teams tied with points:
    1. Goals Against Total
    2. Goals Against Common Opponent (only used if all teams played common opponent.  If multiple common opponents, take the sum)
    3. Coin Toss/Randomly Generated

Rosters

  • Legends tournament directors reserve the right to check rosters for any reason and if teams are found to be in violation of the rules, the tournament director has the ability to disqualify the team and nullify the results.
  • Rosters must be submitted by graduation years and/or age groups.  Every team is expected to comply with the thresholds on those age groups as posted on the website and appearing on the event schedule
  • Event directors have the ability to approve any adjustments to the rules if they feel it creates competitive bounds and does not minimize the experience of any players on the field
  • Double rostering players:  On certain occasions Legends tournament directors reserve the right to approve a player appearing on two rosters and playing on two teams.  Any player’s double rostering must be approved by the tournament director prior to the start of the tournament.  If a player is not approved, Legends reserves the rights to disquality the player and/or nullify team results.

WEATHER

In the event of inclement weather or unplayable field conditions, Legends reserves the right to:

  • Reduce games to catch up with the schedule
  • Finish games before inclement weather arrives, or to preserve the fields
  • Reschedule games, if possible
  • Convert tournament to “Festival” format without playoffs or championships to provide most teams an opportunity to play as many games as possible

Every attempt will be made to update the changes and cancellations on the website.  However, the weather can change rapidly, and all teams should be prepared to play as soon as the weather clears, and fields are playable.  Should a tournament be on hold due to weather, the tournament organizer will send text messages/emails via the tourney machine app.  We HIGHLY recommend that all club directors, coaches and parents download this app on their phone so they can have the most up to date information.

If lightning is observed at any location:

  • play will be suspended immediately, and all teams must leave fields as quickly as possible. The safest location for people to relocate is in their cars.
  • Play will be allowed to resume 30 minutes after the last sight of lightning is observed. If a game is in progress:
    • If it is the second half of the game, the game will be considered final and the score at that point will be recorded
    • If it is the first half, when play resumes it will be the start of the second half
    • Every attempt will be made to begin subsequent games on time.

If the start of the second half of the suspended games delays the onset of the subsequent game the following actions may occur:

  • The game suspended will play one 20 minute running time second half
  • Subsequent games will begin immediately after proceeding games (teams will warm up on the sideline prior to the game) These games will consist of two 20 minute running halves until games are back on schedule
  • Once games are back on schedule they will revert to two 23 minute running time periods (20 minutes if there are playoff games)

We will make every attempt to play event minute of every game but the safety of players and all tournament attendees comes first.

NO REFUNDS will be granted if these actions are necessary after the start of the tournament

Facility owners, not tournament organizers, have final say on whether the tournament will take place due to weather and field conditions

If the tournament is cancelled prior to the start of the event, a partial refund or credit may be issued.  Final determination of refund amount will be on an event-by-event basis.  All events have fixed expenses related to field rental and facilities, set-up costs, insurance, personnel, and other matters regardless of cancelation due to weather.  Accordingly, no teams will receive full refunds of the registration fee if the tournament is canceled.

FREE AGENTS

Fully Refundable Deposit
Free Agents will be charged $50 upon registering.  This fee is fully refundable.

How it Works
Once you have registered and paid your deposit, we will actively communicate with attending clubs/coaches to try and find a team that could use a Free Agent as a guest player.  We will do our best to place you on a team however, it is not guaranteed that you will be placed on a team

If you are picked up by a team…
Legends staff will connect you directly with the coach via email.  We will also refund your $50 fee.  All Free Agents picked up by a team should expect to pay the teams per player fee (which varies from team to team.  This is something that will be discussed between players and coaches directly.

If you are not picked up by a team…
We will refund your $50 deposit
