What Is The
National Cup?

The Legends National Cup brings top club programs from across the country together for the most legendary event in the west. High-level lacrosse and serious exposure to college coaches, at a premiere venue in the beach town of Oceanside, California — an event weekend built for families on and off the field.

The National Cup is for elite club programs and players looking to compete at a high level in front of 60+ men’s college coaches. Every player must be registered on League Apps for one team and may only play for that team for the duration of the event.

Legends reserves the right to consolidate or combine divisions as needed.

  • 2027 – 2030 — AA and A brackets
  • Eligibility is based on current grad year
  • Players may play up, never down, and never for two teams
  • 2031 – 2035/36 — AA and A brackets
  • Youth eligibility is based on both grad year and birth date — players must meet both to be eligible
  • Legends may consolidate or combine divisions as entries come in
  • 5 game guarantee
  • Saturday pool play
  • Sunday playoffs
  • Full tournament rules are published in the rules document

The National Cup is built to maximise engagement between players and college coaches across D1, D2, D3 and MCLA. Elite competition, national media coverage and a dedicated Prospect Day give athletes several platforms to be evaluated on.

  • 60+ college coaches — D1 / D2 / D3 / MCLA
  • US Club Lax coverage, highlights and interviews
  • Prospect Day on Friday for boys 2027, 2028 and 2029

The 2026 schedule will be posted here the week of the event.

  • For scheduling purposes, teams should be prepared to play by 7:30 am. Games will complete on Sunday by 4pm.
  • Schedule requests must be submitted to events@legendslax.com by team coach/director 30 days prior to the event. Schedule requests are not guaranteed.

Additional Event Info

High school divisions run 2027 – 2030 and youth run 2031 – 2035/36, each with AA and A brackets. High school eligibility is based on current grad year. Youth eligibility is based on both grad year and birth date — players must meet both. Players may play up, but never down, and may not play for two teams. [Add the 2026 player eligibility graphics here before publishing.]

League Apps acts as the official team roster. Only registered players who have completed the waiver may play. Teams may not move or transfer players between teams, inside or outside the club. Violations may result in removal from the event and forfeited games. Eligibility challenges are raised by a club director or head coach to the field marshal at midfield, who routes them to HQ for a registration check.

Play is suspended immediately when lightning is detected and resumes 30 minutes after the last strike. Legends may shorten, convert or reschedule games for weather or field conditions; no refunds are issued in those cases. Be ready to play as soon as the fields are cleared.
